...but I really liked it.
And...for a documentary I directed in 2005 I filmed at the factory in North India where they made the swords for this production (and also for Lord of the Rings). They apparently also make the ceremonial swords for the US Marines!
It's called Windlass Steelcrafts ( website is http://www.windlass.com/).
I enjoyed it but two things somewhat spoiled it; Saladin's catapults barraging Jerusalem with what looked like 105 HE rounds from a half a mile out, and recalling Eva Green in "The Dreamers" made it tough to focus on dialogue.
