...I thought Winslet gave a truly great performance.
Winslet portrayed a memorable, sad, fully rounded and contradictory human being. The rest of the movie wasn't up to her level IMO, but it was not a movie I was sorry I saw. Unlike Benjamin Button, which was a relief I saw for free.
people have different tastes in art, we all know that.
As I have stated before, I found The Reader to be a muddled bore.
If it wins an Oscar for best picture, I will commit suicide.
