Finally saw it. Wonderful movie. Eastwood's scowls were fabulous. In the early parts of the movie Eastwood's dealings with gang members were far too easy and idealistic; a problem taken care of in the end. My mother gave it high recommendations. She was right.
We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming until the next global cooling scare comes along

and a bit lighthearted.
A fairytale for sure but enjoyable and heartfelt which seems to be Eastwood's signature style
If you think you may like it take a look...

just about every other movie about "race relations" that tries to manipulate us via highly improbable, impossibly stereotypical behavior and events. Transformers is more realistic.
Also, the acting was horrible. The young kid was clearly incapable of the range his part required. Clint was….well Clint.
...but I really enjoyed it anyway.
Baba-Booey to you all!
"Walt" like most Eastwood roles, he was so over the top he was was beyond a cliche. Not to mention predictable. I never bought a minute of it. I lived near Detroit in the 70s and worked with some "Walts".We're chasing terrorists in the wrong place...they're on Wall St.

A white racist acting that overtly in a Michigan UAW plant in the 70s would have met with a line "accident".

Worth seeing, in my opinion.

But "The Bridges of Madison County" was a masterpiece.

Surprisingly somber tone, considering the subject matter.
Great performances by the two actors playing Thao and Sue... The Hmong kids next door.
My one minor criticism is of the somewhat "forced" quality of Eastwood's portrayal of Walt, the crusty bigot... Although, it could be an intentional element of his performance, Clint didn't convince me that Walt Kowalski was comfortable with the flood of epithets constantly coming out of his mouth.
Maybe that was the point.
Lots of killer one-liners!

I thought it was a great movie, one of the best I've seen in some time. I liked Clint's role as well as the neighbour kids, altogether very convincing. The one I felt didn't cut it perhaps was the cousin/gang leader. Even still, all around a very good movie, happy they didn't kill the dog; my big fear throughout... :)
