What's happened to Will Smith? He's had such a string of losers. "Seven Pounds" is deadly boring and, worse, another in the trend where little in the story makes sense until the final five minutes. And then there was this jellyfish...We're chasing terrorists in the wrong place...they're on Wall St.

stick with comedy!
I guess after you are a millionaire 50 times over you can take chances but I don't want to at the theater!
thanks
Phil
You see the ending coming really early in the movie. The implausable plot had more holes in it than swiss cheese.

In addition to one or two mentioned below, I liked his portrayal of Muhammed Ali. His bravado paid off there. I remember "......Bagger Vance" was lightweight fun, maybe. It's been a long time.
He owned that film, he looked like he belonged on the screen with Donald Sutherland and Stockard Channing.
J.B.
Yep, he doesn't seem capable in serious roles.
But don't you think he's terrific when doing his shtick?
He's wonderful in "Men in Black" and carries semi-weak films like "Hancock".
He strikes me as a comedienne who is incapable of branching out(Farrell, Sandler come to mind too).
It sure doesn't stop him from taking on, more then he can handle.
cocky, egotistical about him I find very unattractive. He just always is so full of himself I don't see anything but WILL SMITH.
and I like him because he's not a bottom-feeder like so many comedy actors now.
We're chasing terrorists in the wrong place...they're on Wall St.
... recently might be Jim Carey.
Can't say I agree with this.
Will Smith has been very good in some drama, particularly Ali and Where the Day Takes You. I haven't seen Seven Pounds, as the trailer didn't look intersting at all, but Will Smith can act when he wants to.
The music matters more than the equipment!
I agree.
... But if we go back a few years there is Jackie Gleason ... and probably quite a few I'm forgetting.
