Caught this film about a dystopian 2010 on UK Film4 last night. Directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc Besson and Bibi Naceri. Lots of cartoon violence and a slightly corny buddy theme against a well-judged trip/hip(?)-hop soundtrack (I'm out of my depth!). Still, it held my interest well, largely due to the attractive/ugly cast and the balletic chase scenes - the first cinematic display of parkour, apparently, which seems to be all about running away.

Worth a look if you have a chance.

I think we discussed this briefly a couple of years ago when it made the rounds in U.S. theaters.
I think it is an excellent "action" movie, and far better than the warmed-over-recycled stuff that Hollywood puts out. I went in expecting to be bored and came out entertained.
As a pure action movie, it delivers the goods quite nicely.
