But then, no one is.
"Mulholland Drive" has made many critics' lists as among the top three films of the decade.
Follow Ups:
which is brilliant ( ! ) She can be forgiven the fact her debut was "Boxing Helena" which makes "Inland Empire" look inspired...
David Lynch is her father

...Dark City is a heckuva lot better SF film than Lynch's Dune...and I say that as a huge David Lynch fan. Mulholland Drive is right up there for my best of decade. Blue Velvet is in my best of the latter 20th century list.
The Crow is striking but not especially good.
Dark City is something else again.
the worst, most-overrated "cult" film I know.
I am as big a fan of "Blue V" as you. "Lost Highway," "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me;" and "Mulholland D" round out an impressive and not surpassed by anyone modern oeuvre.
"Wild Heart" I've got to see again. It seemed weird in a bad way the first time around but Lynch definitely is worth a second look.
Good soundtrack too, gets above average play at my office.Wild Heart is greatness, if, for no other reason, than Willem DaFoe's Bobby Peru.

Let's not forget Elephant Man which was a "straight" effort as well.

til you brung it up.
Not my fav Lynch effort.
difficult for me to explain why but I liked it a lot. It is not as perfect as Mulholland Drive but has a similar dreamlike (though nightmarish) quality.
thanks
Phil
As an unconditional Lynch lover since he started, this one was just crap for me. Unwatchable.
Maybe it's a side effect of Transcendental Meditation?
if so did you like it?
thanks
