Alice: what's the matter with the hatter?

Alice has wandered in from the version of Marie Antoinette made a couple of years ago but has mislaid the New Order soundtrack. The hole she falls down is left over from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Red Queen is Queenie from Blackadder 2. The White Queen is that Italian porn actress who git a seat in parliament and married the artist.
This film isn't actually Alice In Wonderland, or Through The Looking Glass but is still more Underland than Blunderland on balance.
Some of the scenes are lovely, some are Imaginarium rejects.
The Jabberwocky seems pure Monty Python.
Much if it is very enjoyable but you have to forget what it is supposed to be... I think. You will need some "Drink Me" or "Eat Me", and just how Alice doesn't fall out of an array of dresses is miraculous.
Children will probably love it, especially girls as the film is a long female empowerment.
What's the matter with the Hatter?

...but my 19 year old daughter (English major) saw it and liked it ok.

So she picked up the books, Alice and Through the Looking Glass. She loved the second book, particularly with all the annotations.

A film that encourages reading can't be all bad.
