A not so lean kaka maybe?
;O)
I was saying BTW that the film count and the bla bla of todays DVD are rather boring...Very few are informative and useful...
GOT IT my little Grey Poupon?
...an embarrassment of riches.I think Great Expectations is actually my favorite Lean film - wonderful script, great performances, stunning B&W cinematography. One of the best page to screen adapttions in film history.
And then you get all the others films with it!

And for a ridiculous price! Now that BD is rolling over, the old system is for free, well almost.

I want to see the Omar Shariff/camel long shot in 3D, up until he arrives in my living room.
Ironic thing is I no longer have the time to watch that shot (or the longer 3D version - extended since he is now riding up into my living room) since I'm too busy multi-tasking/doing 97 things at once :-(
.
Share a bowl of grits with someone you love tonight.
of course...
thanks
Phil
my first time seeing it...
funny, Alec Guiness was almost unrecognizable 30 yrs before Star Wars
thanks
Phil
Did he played* in Star Wars?
Now Hobsonīs Choice is mandatory. In case you have missed it.
I saw this film for the first time last year and that scene still resonates with me, along with the poignant ruin of Miss Havisham's mansion.
I'm going to have to watch this again soon.

My pleasure.
...threw my pants out of the window... it was -20 outside, and she lived on the 5th floor.
Not much art there, I can assure you!

thanks
Phil
