I used to be. Long ago.
But I lost my appetite for his movies years ago, they just became a tedious blur of bright colors and contrived situations.
I am glad I didn't pay $9 to see Bad Education in theater. I am also glad we held off on watching it all these years. I am sorry we finally did.
I saw some previous comments on it, and my vote is for Julia Roberts... for sure.
Follow Ups:
superior to Woody Allen's little efforts, but not Rohmer, by any means.
I was less pleased with Bad Education, didn't see the latest.
Talk to Her had elegant, beautiful moments, plus great music.
Two of three of his films are quite good, with "Talk to Her" being my favorite also. Didn't care for "Volver" much, and I don't think I caught "Bad Education" yet.
The only one I almost liked was " Talk to her "-
I donīt like that atmosphere generated in his films.
Even if his humanity shine through.
I feel uneasy most of the time.
It is just not my world.
and as good as "About my Mother" I was less enthused by "Talk to Her" tho' its not bad
I almost think hes been upstaged by Woody Allens "Vicky Christina, Barcelona" where Woody also showed that he could get Ms. Cruz to act( ! ) and showcase Europe as well
GW
Bout my Mother was also good.
