Consider this your lucky day and rent Tell No One.
The French film is long (over two hours) and rather pleasant, making it a fine family viewing... except perhaps for one shot.
If you are used to Bourne types of action thrillers, then you will be disappointed. There is no endless, relentless split-second action that typifies American films of that genre. Tell No One is more in the tradition of Georges Simenon, if you know what I mean.
There are brief periods of "activity", followed by real-time-speed conversations, thinking, doubts, analysis and all that other insignificant crap that films like Bourne so cheerfully dispense with... why waste valuable screen time on emotions and bergmanesque nagging and kvetching, when you can have bullets flying and fuel exploding?
Overall, a rather good thriller, that will keep you if not on the edge of your chair, then at least wondering what the heck happened and who did it.

Sorry, could not resist! :)
OK, I agree it was one of those "Quickly tie all the loose ends!" endings, but when was the last time you saw something different in a thriller? But face it - there are plenty of last page explanations in Simenon's books too.
After all... it is not the destination... it is the journey! :)

I am actually happy for you! :)

Coincidentally, his one was highly recommended to me by a young lady who works at the video store I described in my reply to you below.
My wife and I both enjoyed it, although as I recall there were a few holes and weaknesses here and there. One thing was the close age of the male and female leads when they were young, that incresed as they grew older.
Still, yes, I liked it very much.
If I recall correctly, the story reminded me of the film "Waking the Dead", which my wife and I also liked very much.
Certainly some holes, but compared to a typical Holly production - a reasonably polished semi-precious stone.
How's THAT for a rating? :)
