Bad reviews here.
Follow Ups:
I discovered on Netflix a couple of years ago was actually pretty enjoyable. Robin Of Sherwood
.
this was a highly lauded series when it aired in the 80's if you;re going on nothing but the single image in the wikipedia article for the Title what can I say..lol this was a fun show. Excellent character development played by superb actors. Great sets, costumes and well researched. Some interesting stories too.. where do you get this preposterous notion?

Just one guy's opinion.
I like Robin Hood. And I've seen lots of variations on the theme.
Based on the recommendation here I ordered it in from Netflix. Live and learn. Just today I watched 2 episodes and moved on to something better.
I find it a real weak effort. It is supposed to be a depiction of the middle ages but it screams eighties from the mullet haircuts to the high color, cheesy costumes and sets and the soft, highly staged tumbles. A casual script. Just not a thoughtful treatment, I think.
A fine example of English mediocrity, yet can't quite manage be bad enough to be good, dadgum it. Just a commercial product to fill TV hours. I can think of a quick half dozen takes on R.H. that I like better.
I understand perfectly that others might like it.
Thank you. But this theme is not my passionate one.
I am perfectly happy with Curtisīs and the good Nazi / womanizer Flynn.
