Seeing the trailer it is a bad bad movie. and I do NOT mean 'BAD" likee good either.
The alien machines are sorta cool, but the rest is crap.

I don't think it looks any more stupid than 'Independence Day'. Which is pretty low praise, I know.

Judging movies from trailers is a tricky proposition.

    I just look at the cover and I can tell if a book is good or not.

      ....if the cover includes content of the book, and the kind of exuberant language one usually sees from some used car salesmen.
      
      I've learned that the 'symptom' of 'bad' books can usually be discerned by the cover, just as 'symptom' of 'bad' movies can be usually discerned by the trailer.
      
      Notice, though, it's more difficult to discern whether the book is going to be 'good' by the cover, or the movie is going to be 'good' by the trailer.

        ........then I kid you not. I've seen 'enough' trailers, (and accompanying 'bad' movies in the last 30 years ) to make very good educated guess that the movie is probably going to suck based on the trailer.
        
        But can't do it for 'good' movies.

.........reportedly 200 million dollars on production.

If I had the money, I would take advantage of Sci-Fi scenario for a plot that is far more adult, more in tune with "Last Lions".
