OK fleet of ships sorta like the mothership in District 9 start appearing about cities, blasting away. usual fireworks and explosions etc. totally blow the planet to chunks of dirt.
'Earth' surrenders, Aliens come out of ships (but not the Prawns!! did not see them until now)
So the aliens start hearding the humans into other huge ships, these humans are to be transformed into the Prawns, to fight for the aliens in another bigger war with some really nasty 'other' aliens.Cut to alien ship with prawn captain fighty some messy war. He gets injured and remembers who he was..
So after battle, he is working to either return crew to human form, or at least wake them up to remember who they were also. He is in a rush because they are on way to a really big battle they will not survive.
Plan goes bad, and the crew become nearly mindless idiots. (he does not because naturally, he IS already aware, and did not give himself the treatment)
The slow drift of the crew into chaos, then the ship winds up over Johannasburg.
My fantasy of prequel. PLENTY of storyline left out, but in a nutshell...
Any good?

" Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination." -Michael McClure
....I think one episode dealing Capt. Picarkd may have some resemblence, but I think Elizabeth's plot is more sophisticated.
... eating mushrooms prior to that beddy-bye nightmare, were you?
Very imaginative, in a revolving sort of way - I'd buy a ticket!
Johannesbourg wouldn't have much, if anything, left eh? And, in District 9, it was a fully functioning 21st Century world capitol.
Rewrite time!
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
That was very original, even though, anime 'Arcadia of My youth' contains a similar theme.
If I had the money, the kind of space opera I would make would be like this;
1. Planet A with very handsome humanoid race with very high moral values ( in semi-Christian form) is under attack from alien race from Planet B.
2. Planet A people cannot withstnad attack due to superior technology of Planet B. So Planet A organized mass exodus to find another planet inhabitable that according to their legend/myth and religion that they would be destined to be their home.
3. Planet A people encounters much hardship along the journey, and they acutally even manage to find a planet C inhabitable but already habitated with no space for both.
Fortunately for Planet A, and unforunately Planet C, Planet A's technology is superior enough to wipe out the Planet C people, but Planet A people realize that Planet C people are peaceful, rational creatures with very moral values to similar to their own, and it would be against their morals to destroy such people, even for their own survival.
So Planet A moves on further to find inhabitable planet, and time is running out (supplies are dwindling), and Planet B's scout find out Planet A people survived.
4. Planet B sends pursuers to destroy the remanent of Planet A people so that Planet B's occupation of Planet A would be secure. It is revealed at this point, the reason for Planet B's invasion of Planet A was their losing their Planet B to another invader from Planet D.
5. There would be a massive, spectacular, desperate battle between Planet B's purseurers and Planet A people, and only thanks to heroism and self-sacrifise plus compacency of Planet B pursurere due to their superior technology, Planet A people survives, but much dwindled with extinction of their very race bound to take place in the very near future.
6. With all hopes gone, Planet A people are resigned to their fate with dignity, but their scouting party returns just in the nick of time to report they found the Planet that is supposed to be their final home according to their religion.
The scene shows a beautiful planet, in 360 degree form, and it is Earth.
Planet A people find out that earthlings are highly immoral and irrational creatues as a group, not worthy of preservation as free beings.
Only fit enough to preserve under rigid control.
Planet A people, with superior technology relative to earthlings, conquers Earth, enslave the most earthlings, with a few exceptional earthlings they consider moral and rational enough to exist as free beings.
After several decades, earth propers with far more ecologically responsible leadership of Planet A people, and more earthlings become moral and rational enough to become free beings.
Then, Planet B's scouting party arrives to announce Planet A people, that there was a big change in the leadership of both Planet D and B that they finally managed to overthrow the previous leadership that instigated mass exodus of Planet B and Planet D that they could finally return to their original homes.
So they urge Planet A to do the same, return to Planet A. But PLanet A people refuses, earth is their home now, and it prospered under their leadership.
When earthlings find out what happened, they revolt and seek the help from Planet B and D, who give it to the earthlings.
After a desperate struggle, the alliance of PLanet B, Planet D, and earthlings finally destroy the last stronghold of Planet A people, and the earth reverts to pollution.
THE END

...it's going to be like 'Harry Potter'!
Thank you, Lord Xemu.

.....'Battlefied Earth'.
'Battlefield Earth' superficially resembles my plot.
But Planet A people are nothing like Psycholons, they've lost their home due to alien invasion, they have high moral values that they chose not to attack another race even though it would have been easy do do so, they also chose to develope Earth in ecologically responsible manner, and they also only enslaved earthlings with low moral values and irrational mind, they actually try to help the earthlings to become more moral and rational. They also invested in Earth spiritually.
Also, unlike Hubbard, my plot is more about how even 'good' people are forced to something 'bad' for the right price such as survival, while retaining some sort of nobility, and how even 'bad' people can recover their 'better' nature under 'right' leadership, but still causing unintentional harm to 'good' people as a result of it.
....it's not just about who gets what chunk of what like Hubbard's story.
