Watching the typical Hollywood crap like The Wrestler one can't but wonder - what if someone with brain and directing skills decided to tackle the subject of an aging wrestler?
Why... you have to wonder no longer, as the answer can be found in this superb Uruguain (sp?) film. While The Wrestler you can turn off at any moment and not regret it (seen all that crap 1000 times already...), Bad Day will keep you riveted... no... MIG welded is perhaps a better take.
Bad Day to Go Fishing is the first full-length work of the young (professionally speaking) director, and what a wonderful debut it is!

I think you'll like the Colombian film I mention, below, as well. Even if you hate the film, the views of wild Colombia are special.
Sounds like a potentially interesting Russian film... so added it too.
Did you see it?
BTW, if you have not seen Bad Day... my wife rarely gets so attached to the screen... that's got to tell you something! She kept talking about it or hours.

Far from perfect, but quite good... mood- and acting-wise.
