I just watched it....I think Woody Harrelson will get mentioned for his role when awards season comes around, and Ed Harris was very good as usual. Julian Moore portrayed Sarah Palin probably as well as anyone could have, but it was awfully hard to not think this was some comedic sketch at times. I really enjoyed watching this, and while none of us could speak of it's authenticity (unless we were there) nothing seemed far-fetched. Anyone else see it?
Baba-Booey to you all!
Follow Ups:
I was not a fan of Palin and I did not want her "a heartbeat away from being president" but I never imagined her as such a miserable childlike creature.
I do remember an interview with someone from McCain's staff (after the election) and he did confirm that they only spent an afternoon googling Palin before aproaching her! So that part seemed accurate.
Ed harris looked quite a bit like McCain and the overall production was well done. Funny how it seems any woman can look like Palin if she dons the proper wig and glasses.
Interesting movie but a little too much for me.

Apparently the film on Osama killing is bound to open in October.
Considering how pathetic the director's precious work was (The Hurt Locker), I can imagine the caliber of this one.

AFAIC, Moore's performance was a bit too wooden and literal. I don't think she was allowed to be as expressive as Moore can be. I felt no empathy or antithapy toward her character, only apathy. All in all, only a decent, and certainly not very good or great, movie, but Harrelson was terrific. Him reading the riot act to Palin when she wanted to speak at McCain's concession speech was brilliant.
"I'd like to own a squadron of tanks"
If you've had the misfortune of ever seeing one of Palin's commentator appearances on shows like Hannity, etc., she seems a lot stupider than the movie portrayed her. Fox Channel knows she's an idiot; that's why they feed her the idiot lines everyone wants to distance themselves from. (I think you saw something similar in the movie with the Ayers balloon Palin let fly.) She's so stupid, in fact, she honestly thinks Fox has some respect for her. She's the person at the party that acts like an asshole and then is upset when everyone calls her an asshole. HBO was kind to her.
And your Obama had a non-matching tie the other end!
but if you're insinuating that political affliations had some how clouded my judgment by your "your Obama" quip, I can assure you, I know stupidity when I see it regardless of affiliation. Like porn, I may not be able to define it, but I know it when I see it. Palin's the real deal. Thought that was yesterday's news...

...a man who can't select a tie!
agree about Woody's speech (LOL) and then Palin goes around him to McCain anyway - that little Pitbull...
