... is mostly for entertainment. They ain't real. Walmart takes care of the message. That's for real.
Sounds like you are just good at picking bad movies. Hee hee.

Follow Ups:
How many movies can you name that 'promote' abortion or show it not having a significant impact on the people involved?
Perhaps Vera Drake or Cider House Rules could be labeled "pro choice," but the overwhelming majority of films treat abortion as a very "negative" event.
Hell, even the teen horror genre is tough - if you see two teens having sex, you know who the serial killers is gunning for next!
;D
....I never forget that it's a movie.

...the messages like that are put in there, if it is just a movie?
We all know where the majority of people gets their "information".
it's "just" a movie. I said I never forget that it "is" a movie.
Of course movies have messages. Everywhere we turn there is someone or something vying for our attention with a purpose in mind. Culture at large, in all it's elements, is in constant process of influence.
It is your responsibility and mine to decide what to pay attention to and to decide what to accept or reject. That's life, not only movies. Hollywood film has political and social messages. So what.
I watch a movie a day on average. I think I have a keen sense of what I want to see and what not to see. 9 out of 10 times I enjoy what I choose and take it for what it is.
I don't let someone else tell me how or what to think. I say, rather, hmmm, so that's what the other feller thinks.
You and Grits should commiserate. He takes great pride in his acumen for choosing and watching bad film.
Aren't you doing the same thing you're complaining about? Messaging your contempt for "liberal" film. Your message or theirs, gotta talk about something.
Cheers,
J
My room fan, or hurricane Katrina - same thing! :)
...what you think.
