Cooper and Bogart had similar ways of acting or stage presences or acting styles.
Pick your examples, we're waiting for those "common threads."
Actually, what made those actors great was their very individuality. Their immensely powerful characters that shone through the various roles. And some of the best films opposed those very stars, i.e. Stewart vs Wayne. Grant and Stewart.
Also many mannerisms were common to that generation in the US.
