Lots of seedy characters who speak almost poetically, lots of dark humour(sp for brit), good acting, suspenseful, and the body count is about on a par with Breaking Bad. The main character not as conflicted as Walter, but some of the bad guys, at times, do some pretty good things, so there's some internal conflict vis a vis the bad guys. Similar to Breaking Bad, it didn't lose its momentum after the first season and in fact got better for at least the next 2.

  Netflix has it. Unfortunately, this season is not up to the same standard as the previous three seasons. It just isn't "compelling". If you look at the copyright dates this is one of the slowest written dramas on the planet. There are a lot of changes to the characters but the central plot is a bit weak. One thing for sure, the French sure like to dog foreigners. This time it's Turkish terrorists.

    First episode just shown on Sundance channel last nite. Well worth a watch. I think it's available on Netflix. Looks like a winner after one episode. Appropriate that it debuted on All Hallows Eve.
