I am stuck here in Mexico for another 10 days. My Netflix account does not work here. The only thing I have available is the YouTube on iPad, which allows me to watch some films... apparently as long as it is not too recent.
Need the recommendations for man's films that are not total trash.
Follow Ups:
in old Mehico? Need bus fare to the border? This is playing like about a dozen movies.
...but we had a funny (read - sphincter-tightening...) episode with taking a wrong turn close to the border. Can tell you a story about Mexican cops.
But funny... yes. Send money to my Paypal account.
Will be looking through the list tonight - thanks all!

your film experience: "O Assalto ao Trem Pagador."
Exciting, amazing film that could work well as a "silent" film which is what it kind of would be like if you don't understand Portuguese (some youtube Braz films have subtitles, this one doesn't).
This is a caper film about a train robbery, but that's just a conceit: it's about a hell of a lot more.
Truly, one of the best modern films ever made. LIke about 15 or 20 other Braz films of the period, it tragically has been forgotten.
It's a great view of what Rio looked like, the cars, bathing suits--- in 1962.
Victor...Netflix is blocked in foreign countries on your USA account. I can diguise my account in any country by unblocking it using a program called 'hola' for chrome.works like a charm for me but I dont know about Ipad. Maybe you could Google 'Netflix unblocker' to see if there is an app for Ipad. Incidently , Thats how I watched the 8 last episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix UK.UPDATE: found this

if they want money, maybe there is a free download somewhere else that will do the same job.
Geeze...is life really unlivable without Netflix??. I can recomend Corona beer.

There are a couple Mexican beer companies that were founded by German emigrants that brought with them the highest brewmeister skills and have always been of superior quality. There are some pretenders though.
Two more positive surprises. One was the Corona Familial beer. A good departure from the "classic" Corona - it actually has beer taste that is reminiscent of German lagers.
The other one - the presence of man-sized bottles! Forget our sissy 333 mL disgrace... there are 710 mL bottles everywhere, and one makes a very nice dinner doze.

I might get lucky.

Use a VPN (virtual private network) to cloak your location and can even give you fake location. (like in Mexico).See the last paragraph in this article

Way of the Gun
The Salton Sea (A difficult watch but good payoff)
The Proposition (Hard men in a hard land)
The Way Back (Escape from a Siberian Gulag!)
I'll stop there.

more manly than this. Non stop action, fantastic martial arts sequences. Blood, guns, but, sadly, no beasts (unless the skanky bad guy martial arts expert can be called a beast) and no breasts.
Even with those negatives ;>
Recommended.

What a huge mistake that would have been. God did the hooks started coming shortly after that or what? Pooh Bear, one of the creepiest characters to come along in awhile.

A documentary called 'When Albums Ruled the World'.
You'll love it.
