What makes the producers think that watching a bunch of spoiled, shallow, self-centered idiots could be entertaining?
The Big Chill was awful, but Little White Lies pushes that genre straight in the toilet. The endless French whine is overpowering, the made-up conflicts and trepidations - totally boring, and the resolution is nothing but a cheap cop out.
The only worthwhile moments concerned the John Deere tractor and the weasels... heck, the REAL ones!
Watch is you are curious how bad French films can be.
Follow Ups:
some Russian films.
A generation of American college students related to those middle-class characters.
And the film was packed with actors that would go on to become big names.
I've always found it entertaining--- and why not?
A bunch of former college friends gather at the funeral of one of their own.
Would you have preferred a gathering of a bunch of farmers?
I found the navel-gazing to have been kept curt enough to be interesting.

I always thought that The Big Chill (Lawrence Kasdan) was a version of The Return of the Secaucus Seven (John Sayles) which was, in turn, a version of the French/Swiss film Jonah Who Will Be 25 in the Year 2000 (Alain Tanner.)
