'Grudge Match' - Fuggedaboutit. Stallone a little off key, DeNiro picking up a check but creates the most hideous and hateful screen face of all time. Kim Bassinger aging nicely but adding nothing of merit with Alan Arkin providing the one bright, comedic flash (isn't that always the case). This is a classic, uh, grudge match between to boxing rivals. One got wealthy over the years, the other not so much. The only really funny bit was in the closing titles where Kevin Hart tries to arrange a rematch between Holifield and Tyson who are sitting next to each on a sofa. Hart gets Tyson to apologize twice for biting Evander's ear off. Wait for the inevitable YouTube clip.
'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' - Take an alarm clock with you. There just isn't anything compelling about this film. I dreaded each and every subsequent frame. Stiller must be somebody's nephew as this wasn't a special movie of any kind for any season. Stiller played a guy trying to grow into a man in his own eyes and for the most part it didn't really work. Even Kristen Wiig was found guilty of dialing in a performance. The only momentary flicker of screen magic was provided by Shirley McLaine. Staying home and taking a nap is a more intellectually stimulating event that this snooze fest.
'47 Ronin' - Somebody else tell us about this one.

I'm ready for a LOL comedy. Is this it?

Ron is even harder to watch (he can be unbearable) but II has it's moments and if you are a fan of the first you should catch it as it does stand on it's own with a decent story and parts of it are touching (kind of).
Elf is the highlight of Will's comedy career to this viewer
.
Is about the least funny person I can think of. Maybe it's just me, but I simply don't "get" Farrell. If he had been tossed into the SNL mix with Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, etc. he woulda been ditched midway thru the 1st season,
Will Farrell = Funny as a heart attack.

I'll second that. Unwatchable
Fiction. A lot.

...is the XMas movie, Elf.
His schtick does get a little old.
The reviews for Anchorman 2 said it was really funny so I'll see it on DVD.
Our son, the foreign movie buff, cringed the whole time. The boy's had his moments.

it is a classic, Neo Classic.
