Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead in Manhattan apartment -- report
Academy Award
-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in a Manhattan apartment Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The New York Police Department is investigating with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine exact cause of death, according to WSJ. The official said Hoffman, 46 years old, was found dead at his apartment at 35 Bethune St. in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan

Overstated? No. My wife and I were discussing how we had looked
forward to many more years of his incredible acting in (hopefully) choice roles.
We'll have to settle for looking forward to what he left us with.

Almost Famous (one of the better rock movies) vividly. That and his demented preacher in Cold Mountain, and Jeffrey Lebowski's valet(?) in, the Big Lebowski are probably my personal favs....
