Hi, I watched the Oscars. Ellen Degenerous, or how ever it's spelled seemed to be way off cue, like she was on Valium or drunk or stoned. What ever movies or actors or actresses you liked, was fine with me,but she was about as funny as a fart in a space capsule.. Incidently, there was a Gemini mission in 1966 where the space capsule circled the earth for about 40 days without poppin the hatch for some fresh air......No brag..just fact...Will Sonett...Walter Brennan...Mark K.
Follow Ups:
I've never intentionally watched the Oscars (been at friends houses who did a few times), and having Ellen Degenerate host wouldn't exactly push me to do so. Mainly I don't care who gets an award for their part in a movie or what-have-you. I just like to listen to what I do, and watch whatever movie tickles my funny bone.
A fart in a space capsule would be funny... You should write movies and win awards (which I wouldn't watch). :)

First Oscar show I'd seen in 15 years, or so, so it seemed pleasant enough.
I don't recall having the same 20 people hang around and chat in the front three rows from previous shows.
Seemed like a smaller club atmosphere than in the past.

...pleasant but not memorable.
Ellen was the first host who wandered around the audience and interacted with them.
Normally the host stays on the stage, makes fun of audience members and you just get camera shots of the individuals.
even a streaker would perk things up.
don't give him any ideas!
IF legit, the pizza thing was funny and the pizza delivery guy made some good dough!
Basically though a three hour snooozzzzzzzzzefest.

Go USA.
Congrats to Leto for playing a scary good role and Blanchett for putting neurosis and desperation on canvas. My eternal frat rat mind really wanted Wolf to clean house. Alas, pass the ludes.
...Ellen - safe, likable and boring.
Bring back Ricky Gervais.
ain't gonna let him within a hundred feet of that stage.
Ellen opened good. That's all the good I've got to say about her.
