applause upon ending that I can remember. Jon Favreau wrote, directed, and stars. I'm not a big fan of his, but he's okay in this.
Fine cast, including Scarlett J (she is in everything, in case you were wondering) and a very, very hot and sizzling Colombian named Sofia Vergara--- several dresses she wore may as well have been body paint. Any woman that can hold her own vs Scarlett in the beauty and sex departments is remarkable.
John Leguizano. Robert Downey, Jr. Dustin Hoffman. Oliver Platt. Whew. Lots of talent signed on for this.
Take your squeeze: it's a great date film.

Just saw Chef in the newest neighborhood multiplex with nine 200 capacity theatres with the latest JBL system. Great music. Wished they had played the songs longer.
I do not think food is the main theme nor is it culinary expertise. The movie to me is all about human relations, the pain of separation, vanity and triumph of will. From those angles I liked the movie. My wife liked it more though.
I dont know who is who but the divorced wife is a better actress cum looker than Molly. The main man looks like an audiophile and one of us inmates in his Lacoste Tshirt. I looked all over for a tube amp.
Cheers

I loved Chef as I stated here earlier and thought Favreau did a great job on the film in general. Everybody gave great performances and the strength of the casts (A-List) shows he is well thought of in the land of formula profits.
It is light-weight and fun and something that is almost a family flick.
