Yeah, my first ATMOS movie...this was a fairly large old school theater with a balcony...most speaker cabinets I have ever seen in a movie theater...I am guessing over 50 they wrapped the room about 10' on center and two rows across the ceiling...
It was loud, but not Interstellar LOUD...bass was good, but not great...the sound was decent, the detail was unusually good...timing was exceptionally well synced with the video...really seamless...for some reason, I really hate late sound...
Please let us know what you think...
thanks
Mark

American Sniper. I looked it up after I responded to you, advance planning for Monday and all that. I may still go see it again, but this time at a Cinemark XD theater.
I DID see Interstellar at the Atmos theater, dialogue was barely intelligible. Friends who saw it elsewhere had no issue with unintelligible dialog. I think theater management may not have had the sound dialed in correctly, or the Zimmer score just overwhelmed dialogue in too many spots in the movie.

"Have you a water buffalo?"
Could NOT hear the dialogue at ALL...just too much of everything else in the mix...
Second time I saw it was at a regular theater and was soooo much better...
The Cinemark XD is good and better than the AMC 4K, movie dependent, but the ATMOS was really cool experience...
thanks
