Wonka asleep at controls?
Since it is now available on Netflix, I started watching, and I kept laughing my ass off, in a college prank kind of way.
The closest thing that comes to mind is Dumb and Dumber, but perhaps more "intellectual", if I dare to use that word while describing this marvel.
Follow Ups:
to save the embarrassment of a Christmas release of this boiled turkey. I like stupid movies but Franco's character was just too off the wall to be believable. I can also envision a WH preview eliciting the response "no way Jose" this is going to release! Sure, Americans see nothing wrong with it but it was more over the top than I ever imagined.
Yucks and grins but suspect of what really happened with the release.
And we laughed out loud several times. No, it's not a *great* comedy, but it does have some pretty funny moments. The scene with the tiger and the little "missile" had us guffawing.
Not a bad way to mindlessly kill 2 hours...

the one from 2007 w/Buscemi and surely won't like the Rogen one. I kind of like Rogen but his movies mostly always suck.

There was some hope in the first half...

will eventually fire it back up I am sure...
when all the pointless, dumb, breast-laden films came pouring forth. Loved them all. Just mindless antics that I wished I had done in college and in life!
Total stupid film means no headaches about the directors motives or the writers story-telling abilities or the actors performances. It just means did you laugh, how often, and how hard.
Life is not a total intellectual exercise of everything and total stupidity saves one from that. Viva la total stupidity!
I guess I had been totally detoxed, so I am determined to finish it tonight! :)
