This was supposed to be a 'smart' horror movie. Well, it's not. Absolutely terrible script. Makes no sense at all and the ending is ridiculous.
For intelligent horror movies try:
'The Haunting' - original black & white version, not the remake
'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'

getting chills just writing about it
just another "indoor" scary movie.
I blame 'Blair Witch' for the current state of "scary movies". Guerrilla marketing, no-name actors, weak scripts and plots, and cheap art direction.
Sure you can make a really scary "cheap indoor movie" but no one is doing it. Budget comes first with talent and writing a distant third. It's an affront to the seasoned movie-goer. I've been more amused by the onslaught of good television and cable series than the shabby crops of movies at the walk-in.
I just saw 'Insidious 3' and was surprised that it started off in an almost quality manner. Then the same-old scary monsters jump out of closets and harass a cute teen age girl and you have SOS/diffent movie. Just another scary indoor movie. It's time to give up.
I thought Blair Witch was much better than this loser. This is one to pass on. Not scary in the least.
