...they had to combine all the old government conspiracy/alien hybrid-breeding threads to start over.

If you were a fan of the old series these things all resonated with you - otherwise it would seem pretty disjointed.

  Seemed like an Olive Stone script to me. In JFK there was not a conspiracy theory he didn't like. :-)
