They're in the closet with Freud.
It carries on in this same mode, but gradually works toward non-resolution and drops like a cow patty. Skip forward to this last season (4th, with 8 episodes).
The star is Hoon Lee, the Asian dragster. IMO, a terrific actor. Actually, several of them. Starr is one of those McQueen sorts, saying a lot with intense facial expressions. Maybe not great actors, but great characters. Some guy in a rubber room must have hammered this together.
Follow Ups:
This was a brilliant trash entertainment by the fact that the writer managed to have so many balls in the air without ever dropping one. It was a feat to make Banshee work.
Granted, so much crap happened when Lucas showed up that the National Guard would have taken over the town mid-second season and Rabbit raised the bar on Russian fatherhood. What a sick fook.
The miracle of the fourth season was locating Job and being able to free him. Suspension of disbelief at its finest but so was the whole series.
As with all binge watching I felt a sense of loss after the final episode. Some therapists refer to this as a "TV hole". I get them all the time.
Time to move on. Find something else to get enthralled with. Life goes on even without Banshee.
