...but I did see Arrival and Hidden Figures, ...the latter was outstanding. I felt bad for Warren Beatty and Jimmy Kimmel because they're the ones who'll probably be blamed for the screw-up. Whoever handed Beatty and Dunaway the wrong card caused the fiasco. Both film's production teams were gracious on camera, but it had to be a letdown in both camps given the optics.
Manchester By The Sea, Hidden Figures, Arrival, all vert good. I plan to see Moonlight, Fences and Lion - I like musicals but the trailer for La La Land put me off.

We also want to see Hidden Figures and Fences. I'll catch La La Land when it hits HBO Cat, just not much of a song and dance man here.
I think you'd like Hell or High Water. All 4 of the Desperados and the Law actors quite good, as well as that rattlesnake of a waitress.....

La La Land isn't on our "must see" list either. Read too many mixed reviews. As musicals go it apparently doesn't live up to the classics of the genre, but it's being treated like some kind of revelatory discovery by Hollywood. The best song should've gone to "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. It was certainly a better number than the two numbers from La La Land, not to mention the best performance of the evening.
Personally, I'd have liked Deadpool slipped into the Top picture category just to mess with folk's heads.
