Criterion's "The Lodger" Outstanding Hitchcock Silent

A really good 2K transfer to Blu-ray. An early Hitchcock silent film, and it's beautiful. I compared it to the dvd (an MGM release), and it's a vast improvement. The filmmaker's artistry really starts here. The supplements are also excellent. Learned that AH made his first on-screen cameo in this film.

Thanks for the reminder the last time I saw that movie was in film class in Jr. collage. The article points out similarities to Psycho but the plot is also similar to Shadow of a Doubt. Another poster said it would be on TCM I will look for it there.

Thanks for the link. I had set up my DVR to record The Lodger when it plays on TCM. I may buy the blu-ray so I can compare.
