I just caught the first episode of "The Punisher" last night. I'll watch a few more. A familiar story. The warrior wronged, when he can endure the wrongdoing no more, must take his revenge.

Calling Star Wars last century, while stating "The Punisher" instead is your viewing...
Sounds/looks pretty much like modernized Charles Bronson mixed with a few Harrison Ford 1980's, 1990's movies thrown in. :)

  Sure, The Punisher is a comic book brought to screen.
  It's done intelligently with great characters and acting, fun
  twists and turns, top notch production values and is ceaselessly
  entertaining and interesting on many levels.
  It's adult entertainment.
  Star Bores is not.
  But yes, to each their own.
