We are on binge film noir viewing - loaded 27 of them into my Netflix magazine!
Great reprieve from all that modern garbage.
Follow Ups:
Touch of Evil is great. Progressive for its time.

"If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking till you do suck seed" - Curly Howard 1936
'No Highway in the Sky' with Jimmy Stewart.
Track this one down, it's absolutely worth it. Been my favorite movie since I was a kid.

I'd label that movie as a pilot's procedural. I loved it, too. Glynnis Johns is beautiful. So, is Marlene Dietrich. Performances are sincere. Another film I'dI recommend is "Fate is the Hunter" with Glen Ford, too. It's the story of an FAA investigation into a plane crash, told mostly in flashback. The movie's good, the novel is excellent. (By Ernest Gann, one of the best authors of pilot stories). It's much deeper than the film.
