If you were a fan of the original 2004 (yes 14 years ago) "Incredibles", wishing Disney would release a sequel your hopes have been answered. I saw "The Incredibles 2" last night and was thoroughly entertained. This (imo) is a good movie with mostly all of the things that brought me to the original intact. If you liked the original then most likely you will like if not love the sequel.
Follow Ups:
...much better than Tag but not as funny as Deadpool 2.
...
I saw it Tuesday night. My opinion isnt as high as yours. I thought the original was better, this one was kinda luke warm. My opinion, of course. On the other hand, Deadpool 2 was very good. I think it was better than the first. Lots of humor.

BRings the fun of animation, a lot of joy, and some heart to the tale.
I was grateful to have seen it in a dolby theatre of some size, so the orchestral sounds could really cut loose. THe sound track mixes orchestra with jazz, along the lines of the pink panther, and the effect is very good, priming the action. There are also some ping pong effects with the sound to drive the story that worked well in the big hall using a 7.1 dolby commercial system
The show I went to was a little uptight, or maybe they were tired, like they had forgotten how to laugh unless pushed into it with a big scene. There were plenty of little things that were cracking me up
Sit towards the front. Kids today have light up shoes, and if they get board, or whatever, the flashing of their shoes up and down the isles won't be an issue if behind you.
There were seizure warnings in our local listings. Real or nanny state?

Fake or not . . .
