I just got a one month free. Cant find any gooodies.Watching "Last Shift" now
Follow Ups:
Lately I've been hooked on French criminal series such as Witnesses 2 seasons, very dark and well done if you don't mind reading subtitles. And the Spanish series Casa de Papel, which you can find under Money Heist is a very good thrill series and very well done.. If you don't mind reading subtitles... Safe is a British series which is also very good. These are a few I've seen lately.
Really good black comedy about Stellan Skarsgard's war against the men who killed his son. Can't go wrong with Stellan and this one takes place in Norway where he drives a snowplow for a living. Colorful characters and lots of snow.
If you do, and you don't mind reading subtitles, there is a great Korean Zombie flick on Netflix called "Train to Busan'.
(Probably my favorite zombie movie of all time!)
The Rotten Tomatoes review numbers are great as well, (95%/88%).
Enjoy!
Train to Busan is excellent.

to World War Z, both good, this one better.

"E Burres Stigano?"
We found Amazon to be head and shoulders above NF. About the same money and much better content, especially for 'ArtHouse' and current releases. Lots of dreck on NF.

A Most Violent Year.
Gone Baby Gone.
I'm sure there's more but you have to hunt for them through all the crap.

The Last Kingdom is about Alfred the Great, the kingdom of Wessex, and their last stand against the Danes. I liked it.
The Borgias, Isolda Dychauk plays Lucretia. I wanna be her dog.
Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!
Check out a Sci-Fi movie called "What Happened To Monday?"
For Netflix series, Luke Cage Season 2 is awesome but so is all of Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
You can catch several of Ken Burns' great documentaries on Netflix.
"A record unplayed is a record wasted!"
I like alot of older films and they don't have much of a selection. There are too many made for Netflix series or shows! I've been considering cancelling my subscription, especially since they recently partnered with some people I can't stand....
I feel your pain, but I am doing my best to use them to the hilt. We too love old movies, and there is wealth of them on Netflix in DVD's. Since they are covering postage both ways, I suspect it might be the loss leader for them, so our queue is overflowing. :)

I lost myself, glass of wine (or three) in hand, binging on 6+ seasons of Breaking Bad and Walking Dead, neither of which I caught on regular TV. Blacklist, House of Cards....
More good series both original and Brit and Aussie imports.Go to categories up arrow to white icons, not down, then Indy films or critically acclaimed and you'll find some decent titles.
Birthmarked is cool.

For anyone interested in old films, there is second universe on Netflix, invisible, but rich.
Just today I added 30 or 40 titles to our queue.

Suspenseful, unpredictable (I dare you, lol), drama with some good dark humor. 75 metascore. Wife and I both liked it a lot

"E Burres Stigano?"
historical drama about the assassination of Franz Ferdinand and his wife. Excellent art direction and locations. Not sure how much of the film is actual history and/or hypothetical mish-mash. Regardless, the performances are good and the movie is compelling.
...at putting one to sleep.
It only took it 20 minutes to knock out my wife. :)

enough to buy the DVD. The closest copy I could find was in Canada and the subtitles were awful. Like Google Translator awful. NF's version is much, much better.
Hey, we had murders, "car chases" we didn't see, police brutality and water boarding, and a tepid love interest with a non-skin bedroom scene. What's not to like?
Paramount to the plot was the alarming pre-JFK parallels which made it interesting. Plus, you get a primer on anti-Serb animus.

I'm pushing 70 so we know I have wisdom.
Depends on what you are looking for. Over the years there had been a few good things, mostly covered here.
There are some good films available on DVD's there. What they stream is mostly garbage, with rare exceptions.
Without knowing your taste... I dunno... try the Australian series Rake. Not bad, with some brilliant moments.

I enjoyed The Punisher Season 1 episodes with Jon Bernthal. He does a great job in that role.
