  I heard a report they had expected to sell a lot of passes that would not be used, like a gym membership, and that they would be able to swing a group discount after they had a bunch of members.
  
  They pay full price for the discounted seats they sell , and figured the above plan was good thinking.

    per month. That's hard to believe. Why even bother with joining? Now, we can only see three a month but there are no blackouts. After three there will be various levels of discounts and stub verification is supposed to go away. Well, I've seen two films this weekend already. One more and I'm dead. Guess I'll start going at night so I can really get my money's worth.

  using even flakier logic. $9.95 for all you can see? I paid $29.95 for the same deal about three years ago and they nearly went belly up. Over the past two weekends most of the first-run and popular movies were blacked out or had a > 50% surcharge. At $9.95 for three, every subscriber will still come out ahead but irritated. Mitch might as well got over himself and shut'er down.

  Based on reports on business news channels, I strongly suspect Movie Pass will be belly-up within 60 days.
