'Mile 22': The Raid 3

This is a hard-hitting action film made in the same vein as the "Raid" films also starring Iko Uwais. Now, the seduction of the American movie goer is facilitated by Mark Wahlberg, Lauren Cohan, Malkovich, and Rhonda Rousey. The action is pretty much non-stop once it starts and revolves around a "low level" cop who knows the locations for radioactive agents to be planted. He must taken to meet a CIA plane so he will then reveal the plot as he flies to exile in the USA.

Wahlberg plays a tough-talking, cursing, CIA team leader. The rest of his team are tough-talking, cursing, tough as nails team members who know the price of being on the team. The opening sequence is nice before shifting to Indonesia where the agency has picked up a lead on the terrorists.

This is all about the action which is dirty and relentless.

I heard some reviews, and it only reinforced my decision to skip it. JUst tired of movies that glorify violence , I've seen plenty of that.

I can handle a trashy movie without much reason besides feeding product into the pipeline, but am burnt out on violence as a way of setting the world right. it's not like
i am a kid seeking security in a superman against my powerlessness in life,

Too bad they couldn't get Quentin Tarantino to direct, he does violence so well, but I guess they couldn't afford him , the lady ex MMA talent, and Wahlberg on the same film , so made a choice.

  Importantly, she can take point in becoming the first real female action star. I not talking Wonder Woman here. She can do scenes real enough to make us feel pain from watching, while looking good enough to make us watch anyway. Very masochistic, which is sexy stuff to male viewers. Beat me, hurt me, I love it.

    some have tried to get her in the ring with Rousey but I don't think they ever pulled it off.
    
    Carano beats Channing Tatum in a fight (in Haywire) and it looks like she could pull it off in real life.
