But it attracted little interest so I did not mention the recent season 2.
In short, season 2 is a continuation of season 1 so you need to watch season 1 to know what is going on in season 2. In season 2 the quirkiness quotient got amped up to a sometimes annoying degree. Like Wes Anderson, sometimes charming and funny can get just silly.
But in the end, I really like spending time in this world. The people are engaged in violence but they are all so nice. If they do a season 3, I'm in.

  It is unusual, for shore. But unlike Anderson, it doesn't seem to me quirky for its own sake. More like, quirky like real life is quirky. The plot line starts to fray a bit with season 2, as complications mount, but so far, still head and shoulders above most series offerings.
