People are trying to replicate her going around with a bandana covering her eyes - even driving.

Is it worth watching?

Some sort of strange beings cause people to become deadly to themself or others when they are viewed with the eyes. So people can safely go outside only with blindfolds. Of course this leads to many tense consequences, most of them bad. Blend this apocalyptic fantasy with some family drama and it's mostly a mess. But I did not get bored and more or less enjoyed it. There are much better recent horror movies like Hereditary. But it's ok.

  Does the viewing audience ever get a peak at the monsters? If not, could be a way to cheap out and don't do CGI.

    ...from reading about it, the "monsters" are whatever scares YOU the most and makes you commit suicide.

Why did I finish that crap? Curiosity. I refused to believe (as did my wife early on), that someone could seriously put that sort of garbage together, and get away with it. I was waiting for a sudden turn.

Wrong I was... it became only worse as it went towards its miserable ending.

Stay away...

Seriously... I can perfectly understand some awful stuff. There is usually some reason for garbage. But something like that leaves me totally befuddled.

  Watch it Victor:) The author of novel the movie is based on, lives in the same village my girlfriend does. She is pretty excited and I heard all about it .... To his credit he is pretty oblivious to all the noise surrounding the movie.

Kind of a rehash of 'A Quiet Place' only it's a visual thing. I'm not in love with Bullock so that may affect my opinion.
