One of the previous iterations of that movie had a poster (back when movie posters were a thing) of shirtless Kris Kristofferson bending over Barbra Streisand like he's going in for a snack. I can't unsee that.
Thanks for commenting on the original, before the story left the rails.

A Francesco Scavullo portrait. I have a lobby poster from 1976 that friends gave me years ago since they knew I was/am a fan.... I like the movie... especially her vocal performances. I have not seen the Janet Gaynor OR the Lady Gaga versions. I think both the 50's and 70's versions are good and hold up given their respective time frame....
I have the BR of that first remake, with Judy Garland and James Mason coming - Netflix also has it.
I haven't seen it yet. I think Garland should be a fine choice for the role, but I have never seen Mason as a strong male character. More of a college professor type, if you know what I mean. Fredric March seems better suited for the role, but I will reserve my judgment till I see it.

NT
It is in the queue, I wanted to have some separation.

Fredric March looks like a future Army General.
Hope you would see all versions and pick the best pair.
