Japan is Blu Ray by 90%, Australia is Blu Ray, Europe is Blu Ray.
USA Blockbuster is 70% Blu Ray.
The internet is full of blockbuster stories. Do a google, and you will find all kinds of magazines, Radio and TV stations around the world taking about Blockbuster selecting Blu ray.
I was just adding Denmarks 86% Blu Ray to that.
Follow Ups:
As goes Blockbuster,
.
not more than buying a player and software.
"Fanboy is a term used to describe an individual (usually male, though the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is utterly devoted to a single fannish subject, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. Fanboys remain loyal to their particular obsession, disregarding any factors that differ from their point of view. Fanboys are also typically aggressive and hateful towards the opposing brand or competition of their obsession regardless of its merits or achievements." - Wikipedia
so that is why you object to getting information about Blu ray.
"A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position. To "set up a straw man" or "set up a straw-man argument" is to create a position that is easy to refute, then attribute that position to the opponent." - Wikipedia
As I've said before, my belief is that both formats are destined to be mass-market failures.
Now - please explain how that makes me a "HD DVD fanboy."
I provide information, often with links, please respong to the information, not me the messenger.
Anyway the DVD format sold 349,000 players in the first year in USA, at USD 489.97 average price. Source CE historical at www.ce.org
HD DVD and Blu Ray combined have sold 250,000 stand alone players, plus 1.500,000 Sony PS3 and 150,000 drives for X box.
Does HD players look like a failure compared to DVD?
