Most BD players don't have the hardware to process two video streams. I'm not sure about the PS3, but none of the other players are upgradable to do PiP. they cannot be made to be compliant with profile 1.1.

Do your homework.
Right now, all players have a profile of 1.0
You are confusing BD-J with video profiles.

Edit: I forgot that the Denons are 1.1 compliant, but they aren't out yet.
