It looks like there may be a second version of the 300 Blu-ray disc, once (if?) the video 1.1 specs are in place. Apparently at Comic-Con last week, the executive producer said that there will be an "in movie" version of the BD out later. IOW, it will have the same features as the HD DVD.
And so, the High Def double dipping begins...

Thanks for the heads-up, Jack; if I have the choice, I will rent "300" on HD DVD (I prefer to stick mostly with rentals!)
CDs, DVDs, vinyl and every other format if it's around long enough, has reissues featuring "new and improved" content. The fifth element BD remaster is an earlier example of this on blu-ray.
I got my promo copy of 300 last night from Warner Home Video. No reason to get another one unless maybe they make a BD50 using a better codec.
