Jazz with Ramsey Lewis. What great music, and great sound. A duet between Robert Cray and Keb' Mo!!!With Cray's Strat mixed between the right front and right rear, it jumps out of the speakers. And a piece with Lee Rit, that Bass player who is so famous, what's his name? And Abe Laboriel uncredited with Ivan Lins!!! David Sanborn!!!
GREAT MUSIC. too short at 55 minutes.
Follow Ups:
I hope, that we will see more great music on Blu ray discs with superior sound quality.
Whether the source is 16/48 or 24/48 or ? remains to determined (Dui ?).
I just found out my LG actually supports 5.1 TrueHD for Blu-Ray discs so this disk moved up significantly on the priority list (The player still only supports 2 channel TrueHD on HD DVD disks).
I am not getting 96\24 is my guess.
assuming your source has 5/7.1 analog outputs....
Or a Halcro or Theta or Meridian HDMI 1.3-capable pre/pro. :0)
There is no blu-ray DVD. You really need to get the formats down. There's DVD. Then there's HD-DVD. Then there's Blu-ray. You're using DVD to describe blu-ray and you refer to HD-DVD simply as HD. Accuracy is not your strong suit.

The epic graphic novel by Frank Miller assaults the screen with the blood, thunder and awe of its ferocious visual style faithfully recreated in an intense blend of live-action and CGI animation 300 Blu-ray DVD
Now what do say we end the nitpicking convention?
As I understand it, the BDA isn't allowed to use the term "DVD" in thier name. The DVD consortium, which BDA are members too (a minority), are pretty insistant on it. They aren't supposed touse the term "Next Generation DVD" either. Of course, what goes on online is a seperate reality.

yours would be of some merit.
Trying to find a lesson about me as a person is trolling. Its about the music (and the video); not about trying to impress people with how smart (you think) you are. Let's compare posts on Outside and see who is more accurate with five years hindsight.
Fine, don't listen to me. Just remember...you don't define anything. The formats are already defined. When you talk about them, it's in your interest to use the actual name of the format.

Lets stop the thread at the first 600 names.
Jazz, its time to stop, and time for you to quit assuming you speak for everyone else. Whether its this inane topic, or "Too much gore in Apocalypto", where you are certain your sensibilities are the "CORRECT" ones and everybody else is wrong, your compass is off.
Group therapy.
Learn that others have valuable and contrary opinions.
You have your facts wrong, and it's as simple as that.
As for my movie opinions, that's a nonissue. As for Apocalypto, Gibson started it with a quote from a philosopher/historian that suggested the film would be an exposition on civilization, but it wasn't. It was a violent mess of a film.

Ease up, you are being needlessly disagreeable. You do not have to win every fight or have the last word every time.

unless of course, we are describing Blu-Ray as HD DVD.....
:0)
...and it's one I'm going to adopt right now because we don't need this part of Audio Asylum to become like the DVD-A forum re: ZS KEKL.
