Get the BBC version, not the US versio.
Not only is the US version edited for time, its apparently inferior visually. The US version is 1080i/AVC, and the BBC version is 1080p/VC-1. I'm very disappointed that they did that, especially for the same price. This applies to either format.
Be warned.

  In this genre more or less for SD DVD is "Winged Migration". I feel the picture quality was even better than Planet Earth in SD DVD, at least to these eyes! :)

    I have an HVD copy of that, and it looks very good. HVD is/was an HD formst from China, with the movie stored at 720p. There were only about a dozen discs, and only a few player-older neuneo players.
