1) IIRC, only Samsung and LG have universal players, both currently and with new models announced. Has anyone else announced a universal player? I assume that most hardware manufacturers are firmly in one camp (blu-ray: Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer) or the other (e.g., Toshiba), and hence will not--at this point--produce a universal player.
2) IIRC, Onkyo has announced that it is producing two separate players: a blu-ray and a HD DVD player. Is any other hardware manufacturer following suit?
Thanks.
Follow Ups:
In theory, you could see Denon and Marantz HD DVD and Blu Ray players, as the parent company, D&M Holdings, is a member of both associations. But for the moment, all they've announced are a pair of Denon-branded Blu-Ray v1.1 players priced at $2000 and $1100.

1)Only LG has one out now. They are supposed to put out a gen 2 player soon. Samsung's hasn't come out yet, but should in the fall.
2)Onkyo has announced it will put out a HD DVD player in the fall-basically a souped up XA2 (better parts, picture, audio). They said they will put out a BD player, but I don't think they have announced any time frame or release date (we'll see). Supposedly, Venturer will be putting out HD DVD players (we'll see).
