Here in Las Vegas and Clark County Nevada, Republic Services is the contracted trash company that picks up trash, on Christmas, New Years and any holiday that falls on Monday or Thursday. So, today Thursday, my Sony Crap Blu-ray player plus 12 Blu Ray disks are on their way to the landfill. Sorry Sony!!!!!!! I've been a Trinitron customer since 1974, a Betamax customer since 1982, standard CD Player CDP-101 which I bought at Yokota AF BX in 1983 as a USAFA Cadet, Mini disk in 1994, and now Blu-Ray in 2007. Sony, I gave you my business and you turn and you screw me with crap quality Best Buy crap!!!! Fuck you Sony!!!!! Keep your JAP crap!!

I'm sorry that it took you so long to discover what I dicovered ten years ago. Sony makes cheap (quality, not price) junk that lasts only as long as the original warranty. I could quote you a long list of premium priced Sony products that I'd owned over the years that lasted exactly as long as their warranties. I swore off premium Sony products ten years ago when the $850 video camera I bought lasted 12 months, two weeks and two days (and had @ 20 hours of actual use in that time). The repair estimate came to over 65% of the original purchase price. I pitched it in the garbage and took the oath - no more top-of-the-line Sony junk for me. Unless I am looking for a cheap, throw-away product to begin with I don't even consider Sony. For me Sony means "cheap, throw-away junk".

  ...with expensive, CHEAP Sony products. I swore off Sony after the THIRD copy of an expensive 23" monitor failed, just out of warranty.
