Hi,
Intend buying a 50 inch LCD/Plasma TV. Have shortlisted the following:
1. Panasonic viera 50" - 1386 x 768
2. Hitachi 50" - 1280 x 1080
Both are priced at about USD 2200/-. They arent Full HD like Sony's Bravia 46" or SXRd 60, but these are 1200 USD costlier. Will I be losing out anything if I go in for the non Full HD Hitachi or Panasonic?
All suggestions welcome.
Follow Ups:
Do yourself a favor and lock at one of the Samsung HD-T series next to
any of the mentioned and you will not think twice.
You get full 1900 X 1080. The clarity and the 3D feeling are awesome.
Greets,
Klaus

i have a 42" hitachi 1080-
great picture
I've always like the picture on the Pany monitors.
But from a technical standpoint I think the monitor with the correct vertical resolution
would be better at displaying interlaced footage. Any interpolation would be taking place
horizontally and should be better that interpolating across interlaced fields. Of course
ultimately your eyes should be the judge.
