Unless you want the Switcher to switch multiple 6-channel sources ?! I don't know that I'd want Gefen to go into the audio Processor and DAC business.

This seems to be a worthwhile endeavor especially if someone perhaps owns a PS3. No analog outs on that player. This seems like it would alleviate the issue of having to buy a new AVR for lossless.

I thought sure it said in the thread it will be available soon. I'll have to read it again.

    The question is finding a manufacturer with the sufficient expertise and who is not also interested in building HDMI-capable receivers or pre/pros.
