  Early reports suggest Blu-ray won last weeks' sales by a 61:39 margin over HD DVD. This despite the HD DVD exclusive blockbuster "Bourne Ultimatum". I believe this makes the score 50-0 for Blu-ray in weeks won in 2007. Two more shots for HD DVD to eke out a "win" in 2007 but the odds are pretty remote now.
  
  It doesn't look any better for HD DVD in January but we shall see.

      The Nielsen numbers look at a larger part of the big picture by including most of the Internet sights and the major retailers (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc).
      
      The biggest "gap" in the Nielsen numbers is lack of data from Wal-Mart sales, which retailer is loath to share sales data with anyone. The studios know how well sales are going but they tend to be tight-lipped too.
